2013 Forecast Conference & Tradeshow

Are we there yet? It seems so far away, but realistically the 2013 Forecast Conference & Tradeshow is just around the corner and planning is well underway.

This year, the format has changed slightly with all sessions being held in the main room. We did this to alleviate some of the shuffling around but mostly so you don't miss a speaker because of session time conflicts. The line-up of speakers this year is excellent, check out the links to their videos within this blog.

As last year, there will be interactive panels running concurrently covering legal concerns, economics, and the future of organized real estate.

We project our tradeshow to be just under 90 booths and are confident we'll achieve our 25 per cent new exhibitor goal.

The CREB® booth, or CREB® Central, will be in the centre of the tradeshow and will be completely functional; we are taking the member experience on the road, so-to-speak. If you want to sign up for a course, buy an ad, program a lockbox, or find out why your computer won't do what you tell it to do, you can do it all at CREB® Central.

Another new component this year is the Get off your soapbox Café, CREB® will be hosting a speed speaking event during the lunch hour. REALTORS® will voluntarily get on a 'soap box' and speak for three to five minutes about something they feel they are very knowledgeable in, real estate related of course, and the crowd would be interested in hearing. When your time is up, you will be told to get off the soap box. If you would like to volunteer for this fun activity, please email your topic and five supportive points to Dawn van der Helm.

A big and exciting change this year is, we've created an electronic conference bag on our first ever conference app. We will have some information available in the near future about the app and when it will be ready for download, and we encourage every attendee to download the app before the conference.

To finish off the conference we will be drawing for a $2,000 travel voucher, at the networking reception. Every delegate is eligible for this draw, but you must be at the reception in order to win.
