Harmony offers much more than just water
Like its namesake, Harmony exudes balance, peace and all things Zen. Tucked into Rocky View County, with the foothills as its backdrop, this artist's and sports-enthusiast's haven offers a fully integrated standalone community, a place where one can truly live, work, shop and play."For us, the vision really came down to creating an exceptional space," said Birol Fisekci, president and CEO of Bordeaux Properties, the co-developer of the project along with Qualico Communities. "Because of the location, we were really able to create a small village that has all the attributes that we all talk about – the sense of neighbourliness, amenity richness and multi-generational friendliness."

Certainly, the community of Harmony has all the attributes one could want, including Canada's first Phil Mickelson-designed golf course, two lakes, a sandy beach and clubhouse, a mixed-use village centre, and a wellness facility.
Homes are thoughtfully designed to emulate inner-city architecture and styling. There are a variety of single-family home options available, from estate homes on large country lots with triple-car garages, to carriage homes with a classic front porch design and rear garages with unique upper unit suites, as well as villa homes. Future housing choices will include brownstones, townhomes, duplexes and seniors' living.
There is more to this community than meets the eye. It's a community that has been thoughtfully and intentionally activated with enriched programming, loads of public art (it's the only Calgary community with a public art master plan) and sustainability at its core.
The community features beehives and two resident beekeepers, so residents can harvest their own honey, while learning all about these little pollinators. Art classes, art exhibits, permanent art collections and outdoor fitness stations are just part of the multi-generational programming. Additionally, the community has 25 kilometres of interwoven pathways that connect to the City's pathway system and are dotted with interpretive signs brimming with nature facts.
"Harmony's holistic master plan is designed to be all-inviting and all-encompassing for all age groups, so people really get to know their neighbours," said Fisekci.

Fun Fact
Harmony is rooted in the history and connectedness of the ranching community. It's located on 1,750 acres of land originally homesteaded by Samuel Copithorne and his family, who ranched in the Springbank area for more than 100 years.
