COVID-19 is boosting home sales in Calgary suburbs, surrounding areas – will that momentum last?
With many people trading in their downtown commute for a home office due to the COVID-19 pandemic, proximity to the city centre has been less of a priority for house hunters this year.

If you build it, they will come: Calgary's Central Library celebrates two years as burgeoning community hub
Calgary's East Village has perhaps seen more change over the last 20 years than any other community in the city. Since the idea of bringing East Village back to life resurfaced in 2005, the neighbourhood once known for its vacant lots and neglected buildings has been transformed into one of the city's more vibrant communities.
While there have been several key developments during that transformation – including the Simmons Building, RiverWalk pathway, St. Patrick's Island and a handful of condo projects that have brought residents back to the community – Calgary's Central Library stands out.

Spooky cinema: five scary movie recommendations for Halloween home viewing
With COVID-19 making all but the smallest get togethers extremely ill advised, an at-home scary movie marathon might be the best way for adults to celebrate Halloween this year. But with so many great horror movies to choose from, both classic and contemporary, it's hard to settle on only a few.

REALTORS® Care Week: highlighting housing- and shelter-related charitable work in the Calgary community
Today marks the end of REALTORS® Care Week, an annual event that provides the Realtor community with an opportunity to raise awareness of housing and shelter-related issues and causes. The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the importance of the home as a place of safety and refuge. However, thousands of Canadians are homeless or at risk of losing their home, a situation that has only been made worse by the coronavirus, making this year's event especially significant.
