Tax Relief Program to Assist Calgarians Displaced By Flooding
The City of Calgary, with support from the Government of Alberta, has established a Property Tax Relief Program to support residential and non-residential property owners who were displaced for an extended period due to the 2013 June flood.
Launching March 3, the program applies to all property taxes and enables property owners whose property was deemed uninhabitable to apply for a property tax break for the time they were out. A 30 day grace period will be added after the property is reoccupied.

Calgary Still Rebuilding From Flood
While sub-zero temperatures may be on the minds of most Calgarians, an update from the city shows efforts to rebuild from the June floods are still ongoing.
About 6,000 homes and about 4,000 businesses suffered damage due to flooding, as a result the city created a flood recovery operations centre (ROC) and a task force of various business units.
