Calgary's State of Emergency Lifted
Calgary has lifted its state of emergency as of 10:16 a.m. this morning.
While the state of emergency — first declared June 20 — has been lifted, the Municipal Emergency Plan (MEP) remains in effect as recovery and relief efforts continue. Under the MEP, the Calgary Emergency Management Agency and other partners will continue to co-ordinate recovery and relief efforts resulting from flooding.

Still Standing
It will take some time to determine the full impact of Alberta's worst flood ever on the housing market, however, recent history suggests property values in affected areas in the city of Calgary will not take a long-term hit.
Although estimates are difficult until the extent of the damage is revealed, this year's flooding saw far more damage than seen in 2005.
