Massive West Campus Development Moves Forward
A massive project that would see more than 60-hectares of currently undeveloped land bordering Shaganappi Trail transformed into a "complete, vibrant and sustainable" community has taken another step forward.

Riverwalk Phase III
The Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC) has announced the completion of the third phase of RiverWalk.
The pathway now stretches two kilometres along the Bow River from Centre Street Bridge through East Village and around Fort Calgary to Ninth Avenue S.E.

SPURring Revitalization
The community of Kingsland is in the midst of a pilot project co-funded by The City of Calgary and the Kingsland Community Association (KCA) to spruce up the neighbourhood.

The City is drawing up urban design guidelines for large commercial sites, guidelines that could change the face of big box shopping in Calgary.
According to the City, the guidelines would provide consistent guidance to developers and City staff to help ensure large commercial sites create a pleasant public realm, allow for safe pedestrian and cycling movement, reduce the need for car travel within the site, are environmentally sustainable and can be adapted for other uses.
