Governments Fighting Grow Ops
Alberta's province and municipal governments are teaming up in order to tackle the province's grow op problem.
In addition to convening what the province is calling "an expert panel" to address the health and safety concerns and criminal activity associated with marijuana grow-ops in Alberta communities, the provincial government is letting Albertans have their say by completing the Grow-op Free Alberta survey.

More Homeless Albertans Finding Permanent Housing
A new report from the Alberta Secretariat for Action on Homelessness shows more than 6,600 homeless Albertans have been provided with housing and supports since 2009.
Highlighting progress on ending homelessness in Alberta, the report also showed more than 1,600 people have graduated from Housing First Programs and are living independently, with approximately 80 per cent of Albertans who received support to help them break the cycle of poverty remaining housed.
