Brookfield Residential's Livingston neighbourhood attracts attention as a unique space in the Calgary cityscape.
On March 4, Brookfield Residential officially launched the community of Livingston, a new community gathering attention for its innovative, attractive home designs, and a fresh, exciting take on community.
"We're so excited that it's finally here," said Jessie Seymour, senior manager of strategic marketing at Brookfield Residential.
A decade in the making, Livingston covers 500 hectares straddling Centre Street north of Stoney Trail. When fully developed, the community will be home to an expected 30,000 Calgarians. A major activity centre, acting as a central hub, will include an estimated one million square feet of institutional and retail space.

New retail development to take shape near airport
A major regional shopping centre is being planned just north of Calgary's airport, in a burgeoning district.
ONE Properties has plans to develop StoneGate Common as the retail portion of the overall StoneGate Landing project and turn it into a "signature" retail development that will serve northeast Calgary and the greater Calgary region from its location at 128th Avenue N.E. and Barlow Crescent.
StoneGate Landing, directly north of the airport, will include a 10-million-square-foot industrial park, a 2.5-million-square-foot suburban office development, hotels and auto dealerships on about 800 acres.

Veil lifted
Calgary's newest community came online this week as Brookfield Residential lifted the veil on its new Livingston development in the city's north that, when completed, will house as many as 30,000 people.
Covering more than 500 hectares straddling Centre Street north of Stoney Trail, Livingston is the first master-planned community in north Calgary within the past 20 years. It will include an estimated 10,000 homes, and will be anchored by a major activity centre that will include an estimated one million square feet of retail and institutional space,
Ward 3 Coun. Jim Stevenson, who attended the official construction launch June 28, calls Livingston "a new city north of the ring road."
